Patterns Group
For many people with mental health disorders, long-lasting recovery often involves breaking unhealthy patterns of thoughts, behaviors and emotions. To help clients in this process, Solara Mental Health offers a patterns therapy group. In this collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, clients come together as peers to identify their own habits and find ways to replace them with new, healthier ones. This includes learning to recognize and change patterns of low self esteem, anxiety, depression, shame, people-pleasing, aggression and displaced anger, care taking, blaming and complaining. This identification and replacement process is aided by one of our expert clinicians, who will guide the group through the process of discussion and self-discovery. As clients come to recognize these maladaptive patterns, they become more self-aware and self-empowered, and are better able to develop healthy habits that are the foundation of long-lasting well being.
