Smoking Cessation Group
At Solara Mental Health, we understand that quitting smoking can be a very difficult endeavor, requiring physical, behavioral, social and psychological change. For each individual, the factors contributing to their smoking are unique, and therefore the techniques needed to quit smoking are unique as well.
During our mental health treatment center’s smoking cessation group, group members come together in an open, nonjudgmental discussion. Through this discussion, clients identify the factors that contribute to their personal smoking behavior. With the help of their peers and the group’s expert clinician facilitator, clients can then come up with and practice techniques to help them quit smoking. As clients participate regularly in this group, they find continued insight into their own behaviors and greater support in the process to stop smoking.
