In Solara Mental Health’s timeline group, clients come together as community members to listen to the life history of one of their peers. Each week, one member of the group will tell the chronological story of their lives. The storytelling process can include many things, including descriptions of formative experiences and relationships, pictures or music that represents a particular time in their life. This is a supportive, welcoming environment where clients can tell their story without judgment or stigma. Clients are not required to participate, but those who do find the experience cathartic, a positive start to the immersive experience here at our mental health treatment center.
