Ethos & History

Welcome to Solara Mental Health

Where Honor Meets Healing

At Solara, we recognize that behind every mental health struggle is a life of service, sacrifice, and strength. Whether you are just beginning your recovery or returning after a setback, you deserve care that sees you fully — not as a diagnosis, but as a whole person.

Our trauma-informed team is committed to walking with you. We listen without judgment, honor your experience, and support your path forward with compassion, clarity, and purpose.

This is not just treatment. This is your new beginning.

Our Ethos

Veteran-Exclusive. Trauma-Informed. Purpose-Driven.

Solara’s Veterans Mental Health Program was created to fill a gap. Too many Veterans told us they felt misunderstood in civilian care, overlooked by overwhelmed systems, and forced to choose between healing and access. We built something different.

At Solara, every group, every therapist, every environment is veteran-specific. From the first intake call to the final discharge plan, your care is shaped by people who understand your culture, your language, and your lived reality.

  • You will never have to explain your service.
  • You will never be placed in mixed civilian groups.
  • You will be met with structure, not judgment.

Our program offers integrated clinical and holistic therapies, high-frequency individual sessions, and full-circle support — including pet-inclusive housing, travel coordination, family therapy, and post-discharge continuity of care.

Here, recovery is not abstract. It is personalized, measurable, and rooted in mutual respect.

Our History

20 Years of Innovation, Built on Trust

Solara Mental Health was founded in 2004 with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, compassionate psychiatric care that treats the whole person. Our first program, focused on eating disorders, earned recognition for blending clinical excellence with holistic healing in a safe and dignified setting.

As our programs grew, so did our vision. In 2009, we achieved Joint Commission accreditation and began expanding our scope to serve those who often go underserved — including Veterans facing complex trauma, co-occurring disorders, and systemic barriers to care.

In time, it became clear that our most profound impact came through Veteran-focused work. Today, Solara operates as a Veteran-exclusive behavioral health provider, with facilities offering the full continuum of care across residential, outpatient, and telehealth services.

Our success is not measured only in symptom reduction, but in restored purpose, renewed connection, and the empowerment of each Veteran we serve.
