Identity and Self Group Therapy
Identity and self-image are vital to a person’s sense of self-worth and well-being. At Solara Mental Health, we provide an identity and self therapy group to help veterans develop and explore their sense of self. With discussion facilitated by one of our expert clinicians, veterans come together as peers to explore a variety of areas related to self-identity, including interpersonal relationships, personal boundaries, impact of past trauma and self-image. As veterans discuss these topics, they are encouraged to share personal experiences, exploring the formation of their own self-identity in a space that is safe, supportive and nonjudgmental. Through this process of discussion and self-reflection, veterans gain greater insight into their sense of identity and self-worth, aiding them along the recovery process.
