Integrative Psychotherapy
Individual integrative psychotherapy is a vitally important treatment modality that is at the heart of mental health treatment. During psychotherapy, an individual meets one-on-one with a therapist, working together to help the individual realize what their obstacles to progress are and how to address them. Depending on the individual’s specific diagnosis, symptoms and needs, this process can include a variety of different therapeutic modalities.
The overall goal of psychotherapy remains the same regardless of which methods are used. At our mental health treatment facility the aim is for the therapist to guide the veteran to a better understanding of their experiences, emotions and needs, while simultaneously helping the veteran develop healthier thought processes and concrete techniques for coping with symptoms and stressors, allowing veterans to live healthier, more stable, and more joyful lives.
Treatment at Solara Mental Health
Individual psychotherapy is the cornerstone of Solara Mental Health’s treatment program. Here, success in individual psychotherapy begins with the immersive nature of our program. Our intensive format allows veterans to step away from the stressors of everyday life, giving them the time and energy needed to fully focus on the therapeutic process. This leads to deeper, quicker progress that simply cannot be recreated in an outpatient format.
To promote the healing process, we provide veteran with a minimum of 3 individual psychotherapy sessions per week with their primary therapist. The regular, high-frequency nature of our individual therapy sessions fosters a strong, trusting bond between veteran and therapist in a short time frame, deepening the healing process. Each session will be guided by the veteran’s individualized treatment plan, devised after a thorough assessment taken at the beginning of the program. Veterans will be assigned to a primary therapist who has the expertise and experience that best suits the veteran’s individual needs.
Multimodal Collaboration
The therapists at Solara Mental Health want to provide each veteran with the most effective, comprehensive, and specialized care possible. As such, clinicians will integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, designed to target a veteran’s unique symptoms and struggles, into psychotherapy sessions.
This can include psychodynamic therapy, which examines how childhood experiences and other unconscious factors affect current thoughts and behaviors; dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which focuses on fostering mindfulness and emotional self-regulation; and a variety of other therapies. The result is a personalized combination of methods that will help a veteran address their needs, giving them the specific tools they need to promote immediate and long-term wellness.
