Life Skills and Planning Group
For veterans who are about to transition out of inpatient treatment, Solara Mental Health offers a life skills and planning therapy group. Led by one of our expert clinicians, this group focuses on practice and experience. Veterans use a combination of role play, discussion, handouts and exercises to practice concrete solutions to everyday situations or problems like job interviews, conflict resolution and decision-making. Exercises can incorporate different therapeutic modalities and focuses, such as stress management and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). As veterans participate in the life skills and planning group, they build on skills learned throughout the program, preparing them to face conflict and live empowered, joyful lives.
